I have an Nvidia shield and the Ethernet worked before I upgraded to Android 7. I don't get link lights or anything. I have tried with different cables and different ports, but nothing works. Do I have to turn something on?

Ok first unplug your shield totally, then unplug your internet router totally. Wait 5-10 seconds. Now, first plug in the router and make sure the internet is fully functional and working, then plug in your shield and turn it on.
That's what I had to do when first setting up my ethernet to Shield.
