Just got myself a new Bravia TV, it has Android TV.
The Google Play store on the TV is laughable (Running Nougat). It only shows about 10 apps per 4 categories.
Is there a nice list of AndroidTV apps I can download from somewhere? I've found a few by googling, but not having much luck.
So, what's up with the play store on Android Tv? I only get the same 5 apps over and over again, can't search, is a big mess!
It's shocking the amount of apps that I can install on the Shield TV from the web Google Play store which function perfectly but just aren't displayed on Google Play on the device.
You'll have some success finding more applications doing it form the web. I use my PC/Laptop to browse the top apps (paid and free) then open them in a new tab to see if they're installable on the Shield. I then test it and uninstall anything that doesn't work.
The reason I use a new tab each time is so I don't lose my place wherever I've scrolled to.
It's crazy that there is so much content going unnoticed for our devices. 😒 Good luck!

If you go to the play store on your Android TV, go to search, and just type in "a", a ton of apps come up as search results.
You could go through and type "a", "b", "c", and go through them that way.
Pain in the ass, but it works.
