Can I channel surf? (TV app)

by amlast

Very new to all this, just got the box today, trying out Mobdro - seems alright, but I just want to lay back and channel surf, flick through the channels

Is there any app out there that I can select a "basket" of channels, and then just be able to flick through them with a one button touch (instead of having to exit and rechoose a channel)

I'm interested mainly in the UK channels (BBC's, ITV's, Channel 4, etc)

thanks

Two ways off the top of my head:

If you have a Android TV box (Shield TV, Nexus Player, Mi Box) you can run the Live TV app and setup up a number of sources from antenna to Pluto and Haystacks. You can then channel surf. I found it's one of the native apps that allows you to do that.

But as I'm in the US I'm not sure if that would work for you.

The other way, which takes some work, is to use Kodi and PsuedoTV Live. You can set it up with a multitude of sources (Youtube, IPTV, OTA Antenna, your own media.) Once you have it setup you can channel surf.

Pluto.tv may be able to do it for you. Not sure about the channels you want though. It will also depend on your remote control

You could use both... PseudoTV Live and Pluto.TV in one!
