I can't seem to cast spotify from my phone to Mibox. It just doesn't give me the option to cast. All other apps see Mibox as a chromecast device. Is this a spotify issue or a mibox issue? Anything I can do to rectify this?
Edit: It does work but one needs to install the spotify app to mibox first!
Why not just use spotify on the mibox?
Spotify is a little different in the way it casts.
Start the Spotify app on the same WiFi network as your Mibox.
Play music.
Tap the Now Playing bar at the bottom of the screen and select DEVICES AVAILABLE.
Select your Mibox from the devices listed.
You didn't get the spotify app installed on the mi box? I had to side load it manually. I don't know why.
