TV tuners still don't work in Live Channels for Europe...
Sigh. Still got squealing in Netflix and when fast forwarding/rewinding in apps. I hope at some point nVidia or Vizio fix this issue.
Any chance we'll see 4k HDR support for YouTube?
Since the update, the Nvidia Game app fails every time (FC), I'm the only one that happens to you, sorry for my English I only speak Spanish
YouTube app is totally broken after the update, live tv doesn't work most of the times and it keeps show the media controls without touching the remote nor the controller.
Should I buy a USB tuner or no?

Folks at /r/Vue are reporting connection issues with a strong correlation to the new firmware. If you're a Playstation Vue user, it might be worth it to hold off on updating.
EDIT: I'm now running 5.2, and I'm not seeing the reported issues, so it may have been unrelated, or it may have been fixed by now.
Is there any way to get DVR functionality without a Plex Pass subscription? I don't need the watch anywhere features, just local recording to a Hard Drive.
Playstation Vue stopped being able to connect today. Works from my wife's phone on the same network. Has been reported by someone else on /r/Vue as well.

so I have a very frustrating problem with this update. I may have had it before, and just not known.
I use RCA cables to connect a soundbar to my tv, turn the tv speakers off, put the soundbar on max volume and use the nvidia remote to control the volume on the shield (the shield is the only way i consume media on this tv).
In the live channels app that I'm now using for the first time, when I try to change the volume it says "this app is set for surround sound, use the TV remote to change the volume." and doesn't let me change the volume. I messed with all the sound/cec settings for at least a half hour to no avail.
I don't want to use the TV (or soundbar) remote to change the volume, I just want to use one fucking remote, for everything.
After fighting with that for a half hour or so, I dusted off my ancient logitech harmony 300 remote, broke out the myharmony software, and tried to load the shield profile.
the only commands the software taught the remote (after 3 syncs) are sleep and fucking home. I can't teach it because the shield remote isn't IR.
can anyone suggest a way that I can just use one remote for everything
WHY IS THIS SO HARD
What I'd like to do is use my USB tuner connected to the shield to watch live tv in Kodi. Does anyone know how I could make that work? Kodi only seems to be able to run PVR clients, so I guess I'd need to setup the Shield as a server as well. Live Channels is cool and everything (I don't use/care about Plex), but having it all in Kodi would be great.
Seems to have broken Kodi for me...
I don't have a problem, but I have 4 wifi access points spread around my house.
Anyone on the beta to the final update yet?
They changed the green background to something more neutral also it seems.
I've been using Live Channel for OTA for a few months. It works Ok. The picture can get glitchy with fast paced shows. Like the NBA game last night. I already have Plex pass so I'm exited to try this out.
with new firmware updates for remotes, dont forget to apply those too after upgrading.
