I have three boxes with 2 remotes that won't sync anymore.
Any recommendations on replacement?

Use your TV's remote (enable HDMI-CEC) like I do, or you can use the Android TV app on your Android phone.
I bought this and found it to be an upgrade in every way.

I already have a USB 3.0 hub I got for less than 10 dollars, so the fact that it requires a tiny USB dongle to work doesn't bother me much. Any remote with an air mouse function that uses gyroscopes will use 2.4ghz instead of bluetooth for some reason.
is there a factory reset command for the remotes? A bad pairing is most likely causing the issue.
Resynch the remotes
remove battery, replace after 10 seconds
hold down 2 outermost small buttons while within 1 foot of mibox you will hear a beep, let buttons go you are now connected
Make sure miboxes are distant from each other or you will get them confused, or turn other mibox off while you pair
Have you tried changing the batteries? Had this issue last month I dropped my remote and the batteries came out I put them back in and the box wouldn't respond to it. I thought it broke, but after two weeks of trying to fix it by using different button combos I decided to swap the batteries out and it synched right away.

Contact Mi if still under warranty. If not, Logitech Harmony remotes that use the hub.
I contacted Xiaomi and after about two weeks of emails, they offered me a new remote for $4.13 and $8 shipping.
