In addition to that, on the Shield and Mi Box at least - you have to be HDMI connected to a Dolby Digital Plus, Audio receiver to get 5.1 Audio from Netflix. (not sure about the Nexus).
I would expect Amazon Video would have the same DD+ Audio receiver requirements.
Otherwise expect 2.0 PCM Audio.
Only on official "Android TV" boxes such as the Nexus Player, Nvidia Shield and Mi Box. On all the cheapo Android boxes from ebay / etc, it will not work officially.
