It's a 4K TV rocking Android TV. Has built in Chromecast/Google Cast. Does that built-in Google Cast support 4K streaming or would one need to seperately buy the Chromecast Ultra?

My 2015 SONY do support 4K. I noticed that this weekend when I chrome cast'd E3 in 4K. That was awesome.

I'm able to stream 2160p from Youtube on PC to my Mi Box (not 60 fps, but probably because my connection isn't > 120Mbps)
I would be slightly cautious with Philips TV when it comes to smart feature support. I got one that includes the Google Cast feature but when I turned it on I noticed it was only outputting at 1080p even though my TV was 4k. So don't just assume the Android TV feature they have is outputting 4k, call and make sure.
Doesn't the ability to stream a particular resolution depend on the application you're trying to stream?
My Vizio M-Series with built in casting casts at 4K for certain apps. Netflix and YouTube specifically. They were working on adding Google Play but since cutting the cord I've been using a Shield TV box and don't cast much any more.
The Nvidia shield got a patch for 4k casting, so the platform can support it but I guess it depends on your device.
