Hey Reddit, I purchased a [Hauppauge TV Tuner from Amazon,]( http://www.HAUPPAUGE.com/ WinTV-DualHD Dual USB 2.0 HD TV Tuner for Windows PC 1595 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015IL0FIW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ysDqzbT91SJCV ) but when I plug it into the back of my 2017 16GB Shield TV nothing is recognized. The Live Channels app doesn't automatically appear, and even when I install an app to make it appear, the tuner is not recognized as a source. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
you may be able to launch the tuner setup activity from live channels via Activity Launcher (app ex: de.szalkowski.activitylauncher).
i don't have a shield so can't verify.
you could also install another live channels app (like pluto.tv) to trigger it's appearance.

I can confirm that the Xbox One tuner works perfectly with the Live Channels App with the 5.1 update, have not tried it with the Plex stuff as I tend to prefer Kodi

The dual tuner is not supported by the Live Channels app, just Plex so far. Live Channels only supports single tuners.
