Does anyone have a working Funimation app? I've tried side loading the apk from the PlayStore and it loads up to the login section, however it quits out every time I try to log into it. I'm using a Shield TV for reference. Also, I know I can technically cast it to the TV but it would be nice to use the controller to watch things instead.
Not sure, since I don't have a Funimation account, but one idea might be to try Kodi + the Funimation video add-on. If the add-on is still working it should let you log in and have a remote-friendly UI.
Can you cast to it? Last time I tried the audio played at 1/2 speed. That app is atrocious.
A week ago in Funimation Forum there Administration said they have completed making the Android TV app and now waiting for approval. So, stay tuned.
I read as well that Funi is making an android TV app. Personally I gave up and bought a FireTV, that has all the streaming anime apps that I use.
Seriously, it's so damn stupid. Casting is broken, and when it DOES work, it only goes up to 480P?
If the Fire TV has the funimation APP, what's taking so damn long?

This might be a bit late but I finally got a working version of this going for my Sony Bravia. First you will need the fire TV APK file for funimationnow which can be found on the XDA website and sideloaded to your TV (I use esfile explorer). That alone should be enough to get it working.
