Any Android TV boxes or sticks that support USB hid multi touch monitors out of the box?

by cerebralprolapse1

I'm trying to setup a kiosk with an Android box and a 24" Planar touchscreen monitor (standard USB hid multi-touch touchscreen) and I currently have a MX 4k Pro Android box, but I am unable to get it to work after adding an IDC file to /system/usr/idc. I think the kernel may not have multi touch support.

I don't even care if it's an older android box, I just need USB touchscreen support. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Why not contact the store that you bought it from or the company that built the box for support?

Oh wait...

This is a subreddit for Android TV devices such as the SHIELD TV or the MI box, not those Chinese knockoffs.

Have you tried launching a standard Android apk (not one with Leanback support) via Sideload Launcher? In general, Android TV apps are designed so that they can be controlled from 10 feet away with a remote, rather than a touchscreen. This seems to indicate that the kernel supports multitouch devices: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3i99YOft2Dk
