I'm trying to get Kodi to index my movie library on my HD, but it can't seem to connect to the internet to get information from The Movie Database. I tried to install another source, but it also cannot connect to the official repository to do that. This leads me to believe it cannot connect to the internet at all. Any ideas?
Is this the MiBox with Android TV? Just to make sure. Xaiomi makes a lot of "Mibox"es and it wouldn't surprise me if some of them had flaky Android firmware.
Also, do you have any ad blockers or domain blockers on your network?
Nothing to do with all the B.S. info in this thread. It could simply be a problem with TMDB itself either undergoing maintenance or having its oven DNS hacker/server attack.
TMDB (metadata) scraper Addon is perfectly legal. Just try it again later on. Very likely only a very temporary hiccup.

Try a Kodi sub.
The repos are scrambling because of the dish lawsuit this may be why even if it is legit they are protecting themselfs so it may just be down
If your box itself has an internet connection kodi should too, i.e. if other apps like youtube work. If other apps have net and kodi doesn't then maybe check to make sure there are no proxy settings defined?
