I have a shield TV and I want to disable the screensaver altogether? I don't want nice pictures or anything, I want my shield to stay awake all the time. Is this possible?

Not at the moment, no. I installed the Google Clock app & set the screensaver to that & the Shield itself to never sleep.
If I can't turn the screensaver off, at least I can have the time & date bouncing around my screen on a black background when the Shield is on & idle.
