I got the same unit as you, the latest firmware is Marshmallow atm which was recently released, a joke right? You can update right now.
As for nougat it is scheduled for Autumn release, but knowing Sony, I wouldn't hold my breath. Schedule can be found here:

Don't even bother, buy a set top box and replace it when it gets old. I suggest NVidia Shield TV, but also the MiBox is good too.
Buy a TV for its hardware (monitor), not for its software. Software gets out of date quickly, you don't really want to change TV with the same frequency you change a smartphone.
