Seems like that's the last thing I heard, and we're already well into q3.

Yep just like the shield tv is getting assistant "early 2017"
Everything gets pushed back.
As long as it's bug free, I'm fine with a little more time it's taking. Mi Box is working great for me right now so I'm not going crazy with them taking so long. It's not like Nougat is going to be drastically different.
Yea Xioami is clearly not supporting this thing. Honestly though I have no issues with the Nougat beta installed in March. It's been running great.
Hell how can we complain when Google is barely supporting Android TV anyway. Nexus Player = dead. App updates = dead. etc.
Nougat breaks DRM for live channels so I'll pass. My Shield TV can no longer play DRM live channels. I wish I had never updated it. Live TV is much more important than multitasking.
I'd really love the Google Cast feature to be fixed, so video and audio aren't out of sync
I'd rather have them officially release it late, with less bugs. than early with tons of bugs.
Has someone posted this in the official forums? Really want to know what is going on here....
There have been 3 Nougat updates since March, but not yet released to the general public.
And Plex audio passthrough to be fixed...
