PSA: The latest build of Reicast (Dreamcast emulator) is installing and working pretty dang well.

i've been having this thing fail to install for like 9 months. you'll need a mouse to manipulate some settings. here's a copypasta of my comment over at the nvidia forums:

it has an icon in the games section of the leanback launcher. by god, it's actually working.

notes: when you set up the controllers, leave the triggers alone. trying to set them up, it didn't recognize the triggers. but i left them on the defaults and was able to use them in a race on hydro thunder (the main reason i've wanted reicast to work). there are a few switches that are REALLY hard to see over on the left for things like using the analog stick in place of the dpad and stuff. use your mouse to manipulate these.

i see there's one of the aforementioned switches for 'use reios bios' and i wonder if that'll enable things without downloading the official bios. i have the official so i can't check this myself.

also, don't turn on the native controller setting, it causes games to crash on button press. not sure if this is a conflict with my customized controls.

oh shit, widescreen is working with soul reaver. not sure if that required me setting the cable type to hdmi, which i did. it looks fucking fantastic, too, despite the dated graphics. edit: widescreen isn't a very good idea for games that don't support it, like hydro thunder.

final note: arc browser no longer loads dc roms into the reicast browser, which is fuckin AWESOME. unfortunately, it only works on some games in my library. some load into the music player for whatever reason, which kinda sucks because you can't back out and load the game, it asks you to insert a disc.
