I too have just experienced this earlier today, it is ridiculous that the app isn't readily available for download for ALL Android TV's if it clearly works for LeEco!
I gave up on using the mibox for Directv Now. Even when using a fire TV stick 2nd gen was so so. After buying an Apple TV it's been great. I'm all for Android, but when it comes to Directv Now, Apple TV is the one to beat.

Can't believe they still haven't released an official app for the Shield TV. If we don't get a workaround soon I am going to get rid of DTN for good, have had nothing but problems since I got it. Going to switch to Sling TV instead.
Is there no LeEco Android TV owners here? Surely they can upload the current DirecTV Now Android TV apk in APKmirror.
