Android TV (Sony x700) - Android 7.0 or rollback to 6? 5.1 audio not working

I'm looking for some help to get my TV to properly provide DTS audio to my AVR. It seems that a lot of people are experiencing this issue, but basically since upgrading to 7.0 my rear speakers no longer pick up audio. I can get ARC to work in DTS from a Tuner source (local channels) but nothing else, netflix nor plex work. They don't properly PCM DTS and I end-up with what appears to be a half ass 3.1 sound or stereo.

I'm using a Onkyo AVR, but after playing around nor many days and hours, I'm pretty certain is the TV. I've factory reset my tv since the update and the issue persists.

Has anyone run into this problem and a solution?

Is there a way to rollback a Sony Bravia x700d firmware update safely?

My Sony with the same chipset just got a maintenance update that put it on the June security patch. Did you get it as well?

How are you connected that Sony to the onkyo receiver? If you are using the audio return channel (ARC) function, then have you tried to use it with optical.
