I ordered two Mi Boxes last month and both have the same problem. Whether streaming through Kodi or even just using the Youtube app, it'll lose internet connection for a minute or two randomly then come back.
When in Kodi this causes the movie/show to freeze after playing for a minute or two then exit back to Exodus.
Has anyone else had this problem before?

I'd do a factory reset, personally. Reset it, don't install any apps, then test with the native YT app and see if it persists.
I'm convinced that my MiBox has WiFi problems. Especially so on the 5GHZ band. I struggle to stream content when on 5 GHZ. I even replaced my Asus router, still have the problem.
Mine doesn't disconnect, it just buffers a lot. Main Wifi router less than 9 meters away. Even bought a Asus Range extender and still experiencing the same issues.
I have found when disconneting the power on the MiBox and then restarting it that the wifi performance improves for a while.

never had such issue, fix your wifi/router maybe. and don't uninstall unsecure/virus things
No issues here either. I stream from my Plex server using 5GHz and it doesn't skip a beat.
Same problem here with the latest one i bought.
The first one has Netflix problems
I have never had this issue with my mi box. Is your box near your router? Have you tried changing channels on your router? Too many devices using a lot of bandwidth?
