Eh.. I don't subscribe to the whole "fake news" thing, but generally, CNN is just crap.
The app works well. It has all three feeds (CNN, CNN International, and HLN). It has a pause feature, but I am not sure how long the pause lasts.
I really don't get all the hate. CNN does actual reporting, and the hosts don't go on long opinion-entertainment tirades like the hosts on Fox. They leave that up to their "panel" to discuss. And that panel always has dissenting opinions. You hear the talking points from both sides. So the problem is with the "agenda"... which is what exactly? To hold our public officials accountable? They wasted just as much air-time on Clinton "scandals" and the latte-saluting commander-in-chief. If you don't want the scrutiny, get out of the lime light.
The "problem" is bare-bone facts don't fill a 24/7 news cycle, unless you want a 30 minute loop. So these programs are full of opinion and commentary. That isn't inherently bad in a debate format, when both sides can point-counterpoint each other.
The other "problem" is the very concept of fairness. If one side says the earth is round, out of "fairness" does a news organisation need to spend equal time entertaining the notion that the earth is flat? When one side is embracing intellectual dishonesty and the rejection of science... that might not be the best example. Queue the flat earthers...

The app seems to work well, too bad they couldn't fix the fake news though. In all honesty though, most networks are biased to target their typical audiance so they keep watching.
Fuck CNN and it's fake news.
And no one cares because they'd rather not watch Fake News.
