No, my shield still needs DTS to be transcoded unfortunately.
Shield bitstreams DTS just fine (leaves it untouched, passes it on to the next device). Assuming said next device can either decode DTS or pass it through to a device that can, then all is good.
Do you have an AVR in your setup?
I can direct play Dolby Digital, DTS, TrueHD (even with Atmos), and DTS-HD (even with DTS-X) all via Plex without issue. My Shield is connected directly to my AVR. You do need to configure the Plex app to allow passthrough through. If you haven't already done that on your TV, give that a try before dropping a couple hundred on a Shield.
