I don't suppose anybody here is tech savvy enough to extract the apk of the Fire TV version of the new Hulu app (that does live TV) and upload it to APKmirror so we can sideload it on our Shields and Mi Boxes?

Why does Amazon keep getting the good versions of apps and Android TV keeps getting stuck out? Hulu is better on my Firestick and Plex is waaay better on the Firestick then they are on my Nvida Shield.
As often as there are apps available on the FireTV that aren't on Android TV I'm surprised nobody has created a sub on here or a website for FireTV apps to sideload to the Android TV. I can never even find any apps listed like that anywhere. It's simple and easy to find Android apps for the Fire but I can never find any the other way around. It's really frustrating sometimes how much more is available to the FireTV app market and they constantly get new apps. Any tips on easier ways to find these would be appreciated. Or if someone felt like starting something like that let me know.
I know this thread is 2 months old but it now works with the newest version of Hulu from APKMirror on the Shield Tv. At the login screen I used a wireless mouse to select login and then used the controller for keyboard input. Alternatively I later found out that on the same login screen if you use the right thumbstick on the controller it will also pull up a cursor and function as a mouse. While inside the app the regular directional keys work to some degree but are broken in some areas, it is much easier to use the right tumbstick and cursor in this UI. I have not tested this method on my Mi Box yet.
Someone tried it already, didn't work.
