So I bought a hdhomerun prime to use along with my nvidia shield box and im loving it so far the interface is so simple and easy to use and clean compared to setup boxes... so i'm looking to replace setup boxes in my house with android tv boxes but I sadly dont have enough money to buy a shield tv for each tv, so what are the good alternatives to the shield tv?

Mi Box is really good. If you want to just stream (not gaming) than the Mi Box is the best value.
Id honestly watch the beta and dev work being done on Raspberry Pi. It seems to be coming along quickly too.
Not really. But Google is releasing a new OS for a 3 year old machine that is almost impossible to find.

Pretty much your only other choice at this time is the Mi Box. You can get three of them for the price of one shield.
If you don't play any games, the Mi Box is actually a pretty good media player.
