I've been thinking about getting an Android TV device, like the Mi Box or Shield, but two questions have me on the fence.
First, is there a way to get stock Android controller-compatible games to work on this, or do they just come up as incompatible?
Second, If I mount a USB HDD as internal storage, can I take it out when the system is off, connect it to a PC and load stuff on it, or would the PC not recognize it because it's tied to the device?
Some native Android games will work with the controller. Anything not on the Android TV play store is a gamble.
If you mount as internal you will not be able to hook it up to your PC to transfer files, when it formats the HD it also encrypts it for that device only.
