Was able to isolate and extract Google source url for latest July Android 6.01 update. Sorry, NOT Nougat upgrade This info was snagged from a rooted MDZ-16-AB.
PS: The only reason for mentioning ROOT is that, without ROOT access I would never have been able to find the update.zip file within the normally hidden file system and be able to trace its origins on Google servers.
I will not publicize my root strategy, please don't waste time asking. It will only result in more people howling about MiBox causing Netflix to fail.
As of now, 99% of Netflix failures with MiBox are caused by faulty or even non-existant DRM on the ultimate output device and do not involve the MiBox.
ANY failure in the DRM security chain between Netflix and the TV will, rightfully, pinpoint the MiBox as the weak link. Root access to the file system is certainly something that Netflix takes very seriously as regards to DRM continuity.
This update is appalling. Many of us have been running beta versions of Android 7.0 since February and they release this garbage. Nougat is a year old OS at this point and Android O will be out soon.
The update attempted to apply on my Android 7.0 box and it of course failed and I rebooted empty handed.
That and still no YouTube 2.0 update.
Android TV is just so poorly supported it's pathetic.
