How's wifi gamestreaming on the mibox vs shield?

I currently have the mibox and I really wanna gamestream (moonlight) more but it seems to lag too much. I'm on 2.4ghz wifi but the router is just in the room next door, without a wall itd be only 10 feet away. My PC is hard-wired into the router. I get ~50-100ms of delay acording to moonlight.

Curios to know if I'd have smoother results with the Shield. It's a hefty price but would it make things playable with my wifi situation? Or would maybe hard-wiring the MiBox work?

You should probably get the SHIELD. The MiBox wasn't designed with gamestreaming in mind, though some people have managed to slap together some ways to do it. The SHIELD was designed for it from the beginning. Between the extra processor muscle and the on-board GigE you remove a lot of potential bottlenecks.

you should probably try this first.

HOWEVER, if you can already afford to get the SHIELD, just do it.

I have my MiBox on wireless 5G internet and my gaming PC is on a Gigabit wire. It works flawlessly, no issues at all!
