I have a Shield with an HDHomerun for OTA Channels. It is fantastic! However it does not appear that you can watch a show that is currently recording. I am using the Live Channels app.

Ya there is, simply go to the Google play store then download and install the android TV app called HDHomeRun (Beta). This app is made by SiliconDust, the same people who made the TV tuner you have. Have Fun.
