you can check the battery level by going into settings and then bluetooth controller.
Mine lasts about 2-3 months on cheap energizer batteries.
mine disconnect pretty frequently, i replaced them and still they run out quick
The one good thing I can say about the MiBox is the remote battery life is great. I just had to change mine last month, and before that I was using the pair that came in the box (Duracell) meaning I got 9 months.
