Hi all,
Just got my shield tv and having issues adding libraries to kodi. I keep getting a 'connection to server lost' or something to that effect when it's trying to add the folder and scrape data from tvdb. I constantly have to hit 'try again' and it keeps going but it's losing the files that error.
I've had kodi on a variety of devices over years and never come across this issue.
Hopefully someone had same issue and can help.

I had this happen recently and only for the movie library. I simply switched the movie scraper to UMP problem solved
This is as far as I know an SMB issue. I've tried every trick I could find but it still doesn't work for me and I have given up on Kodi.
Tried setting it up for a friend and it worked instantly. Incredibly frustrating.
Now I use Archos Media Player instead. Both it and VLC seem to have a lot more robust SMB implementation.
It's a TVDB issue. The site gets overloaded and that's the "server" in this context.
