I noticed last week that YouTube could not stream content in 4K anymore. I turned on debugging information, it shows the optimal resolution for a 4K video as 1920x1080 (was 3840x2160). I tried Netflix too. Same result.
Did this happen to anyone else?
just noticed it happened with my Netflix too. wth.
Edit: hard reset from the power cable fixed it.
I only got my Mi Box a few weeks ago - and just cannot get 4K on Netflix or YouTube...
My Mibox runs like trash now. Constantly stutters when watching an HD video. Honestly not sure what to do
1080p @ 60fps is also gone. Worst of all, occasional stutters in 720p 60fps are back with the Mi Box.
For the life of the Mi Box this has come and gone. I used to think it came and went with updates to the Mi Box's firmware, but now I realize it happens because of something that changes on google's back end that affects how that August 2016 version of the Youtube app interacts with the Mi Box.
