Yes. You can use the "expanded interal storage" with the Mi box and a USB drive. Results may vary. Some apps and games are 'not movable'...
At least on the 7.0 beta, there is a toggle under developer options to allow ALL applications to be moved to storage, regardless of flags. This lets you truly use the USB storage for all games and apps. Not sure if this option is present in the 6.0 version.
Yes. Mi Box expandes memory with a USB drive. When you insert one it will ask you if you want to extend it.
