Mi Box vs Nvidia Shield Pro

Hi guys, I'm a Mi Box user. I like it but sometimes it struggles to do a few things. For example, when playing large mkv files, Mx Player sometimes freezes. Also if I'm downloading some torrents, the whole system seems to slowdown.

Anyone knows of the Nvidia Shield had a better performance for this? Playing big mkv files and multiple downloads?

I heard that the Nvidia Shield Pro comes with a 500gb internal drive. Is the performance good enough?

I have both the shield is far and away more powerful than the mibox i love them both. The shields gaming capabilities make the cost difference worth it i would get a regular one not the pro as a bigger hard drive can be added for less

It does, it's got quite a bit more muscle. The MIBox isn't necessarily bad, but it's not as muscular as the SHIELD.

Are the mkv files you're playing 1080p or 4k?

The shield is at the top. But you pay for that top. So if money is no object you should be using a shield.

Have you tried VLC instead of MX Player? VLC plays everything I throw at it.
