I sometimes need to access my sheildTV but someone else in the house is using it.
I was trying to see how I can use an app like sidesync to display ATV on my PC and I teract with it.
Haven't seen a sution but thought I'd ask here.

Do you need it to be smooth for like gaming/video watching/whatever, or would potential latency/low frame rate be okay? Can you run wireless adb without root on the Shield? I know there's an app that allows you to run a VNC server from an Android device without rooting but requires you to run an adb command (or use their program, but that looks like it pretty much just runs the commands at the click of a button rather than you having to type them and might not work wirelessly) once per reboot, not officially available on TVs it looks like, and it's ten bucks, but it might be possible to sideload and it might work, should be able to figure out if it will or not within the refund period I'd assume. Note I've not personally tried this period, let alone on an AndroidTV device https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vmlite.vncserver
