As the title says,
My mi box is constantly considerably warm and on 2 occasions is locked up on a green screen.
I do run it at 4k60hz.
Tempted to stick a heatsink on it..
Does it just run hot or should i be concerned.
Kodi is reporting -50oc on the CPU so i guess it lacks sensors.
It can get pretty warm after some hours of continuous use, but if you put it to sleep at night or not have video running for 24/7, allowing it to cool down, it should be fine.
I have the same problem so now I run it at 1080p otherwise it would restart.
Makes no sense running an Android Screen Resolution of 4k60Hz if the majority of content viewed is 1080p.
Let the 4K TV upscale all 1080p video content to 4K using is far superior upscaling Hardware vs what the Mi Box upscaling can do.
I run it at 4k 60fps with no problem. Never had such problem
Maybe stick a small laptop cooling pad underneath.
