New batteries in the remote, and mi box has the newest update. The remote lost connection one day (for no real reason) and now isn't recognized when trying to pair it. I can't unpair from the menu using the Android TV remote app. Has anyone had this issue?
I've got this same issue with my MiBox. Fortunately, I have a wireless mini-keyboard that I tend to use now, so it hasn't been a big deal for me. That being said, I'd like to figure out why the remote appears to be absolutely dead!
Sadly can't contribute anything useful but I have the same issue. Also have a keyboard so not the end of the world but it would be nice if it worked
One day the remote stopped working for me too, but it turned out it was a battery issue, so putting in fresh batteries worked in my case.
Yes. You can try pairing from a really close distance to eliminate most possible external causes (like EM interference, bad LOS, etc). Otherwise and more likely, your remote is dead. I personaly got a FLIRC 2 receiver and just use my TV remote.
