I don't know what OTT even means. I'm guessing you're not talking about devices that run the Android TV operating system.
If it's a Chinese junk box, then it's junk. For $20 I would expect to get what I pay for, and $20 for a piece of electronics is maybe the equivalent of cheap earbud headphones.
Consider a Mi Box (USA model MDZ-16-AB), Nvidia Shield, or Air TV.
We had one in my little family, a maige hd2, it worked awesomely for one year, after that, the company behind it got caught and all service was stopped. So, today, that box is nothing but a paperweight.
And this is why we have an Android TV today.

Just FYI, this is a sub for the official Android TV boxes (Nexus player, Nvidia shield, etc) so you will not likely get any answers here.
