Has anyone else had problems with MiBox using HDMI CEC? CEC seems to work for navigating and turning off the MiBox using my VIZIO TV remote but does not seem to turn on the MiBox when the TV is switch on. When I use the MiBox remote to turn on the TV (for which I had to hit the home button on the MiBox remote and not the power button for some reason) the TV just shows 'No Signal' and does not seem to get the HDMI output from the MiBox.

Lucky you. I don't think there are many people getting that level of CEC functionality with their MiBoxes.
Nougat Beta Firmware on Mi Box.
I press the small middle remote "o" button 2 or 3 times to wake up the Mi Box and it subsequently turns on my TV. Simple !
HDMI CEC doesn't work at all on any of my 4 Miboxes on Marshmallow. Useless.
HDMI-CEC is not an exact standard and TV and AVR manufacturors are notorious for adding extra "tweaks". The TV Manufacturors do not even call it HDMI-CEC but have to "brand" it as something special. The word clusterfcuk comes to mind.
What CEC control will work with one media player combo and TV will not work for someone else at all. In short CEC should not be depended on for device control.
The Nougat update drastically improved CEC functionality on my Mi Box. Either wait for the official update, or load the leaked beta from XDA.
