2015 Bravia YouTube app not playing certain videos

Ok so I have no idea what's going on here but it's only started recently. My YouTube app won't play the odd video and I don't know why. Currently I can't watch the latest Jimquisition, but Jim's older videos work fine. Everything else seems to work fine too, but there were a couple of videos over the weekend that refused to play too, one that I remember was coincidentally another Jim Sterling video - the Agents of Mayhem review.

When attempting to play, I'm just met with a black screen and an endlessly spinning loading circle.

Any ideas? I've force closed and cleared cache but it's not having it.

Uninstall updates and don't let the app auto update if your app has recently been updated. I get this issue every time I try to use the new YouTube app on my 2015 bravia

I have Sony W755C and as of today I can't cast videos anymore on Youtube.

I also have a 2015 Bravia, i checked out Jim's channel, and everything worked.

I gave the new app another try on my x850c. I experienced the same problem on a few videos. I just get an infinite spinning circle. It's back to the old app for me. I still think it's much cleaner and easier to navigate.
