I have a shield and have tried side loading...no dice. Even if you can get by with keyboard and mouse for control it complains about HDMI mirroring or some such. I've tried Chomecast from my tablet and again it's not having it. I think it is more due to Nowtv vs Shield blood feud than compatibility however.
What is Now TV?
I dropped over $100 on what (at the time) was the best speced TV box for the money. It's an OTTBOX Z Super found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072XF8KB3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) Octa-Core, 4K blah blah.
Recently I rebooted the box and I cannot get it to boot again. It shows the blue LED on so its getting power and I read the blue LED means it's in sleep mode, but i can't get it to boot. I've held down the reset button while powering back on - still nothing. There is no physical power button and I'm not sure if the remote is no longer paired and so it's not getting a power-on signal or what. Anyone familiar with these OTT boxes have any insights? How can i re-pair the remote (if thats the issue) or how can i do a factory reset? (PS, is this the place for Android TV Box troubleshooting?)
You can cast well enough From your phone
sky has the worst streaming platform of entire scene...they're many limitations...for example i can't cast from my device to nvidia shield tv because cast on the shield is unsupported, instead if i cast to chromecast it's fine...really i don't know why... If you sideload now tv on the shield say how do you do thanks
