3000 lumens!!!!!!! $600 bucks.....What a deal!!!!
That means its 150% brighter that my $1400 LG HF80JA laser projector and it nearly scorches the paint off my wall if I don't use a screen:)
Serious, but typical case of spec-flation and the reviewer is not savvy enough about real projectors to realize it.
In addition, the TI DLP light engine is designed for 640X480 native res, at best. Claiming 1280X720 is fraudulent
Good lord how mobile do you need to be that you cant just plug a firestick into a projector when you need a smart device. Then just toss the firestick when youre ready to upgrade and keep the projector, thats loony
big piece of crap AND overpriced.
I have had mine for four weeks and am loving it! Nice hardware quality. KitKat sucks. I use a FireStick powered by the onboard USB port - cordless use around the pool is great. This is really its major design point and it is filling it well. Up to now I am using poster board for the screen outside, since we do not have walls that work. But I am getting a lightweight 50" popup screen without stand. Stands add complexit in setup.
I also bought a larger screen for living room movie night running the sound through my audio monitors. The 720p+ resolution is quite adequate from that viewing distance. In a darkened room it really feels like a movie, very different from my 55" LED TV.
Walmart has a Mar lite versions now basically the same product without Android for $349
Just plain old Android.
