Have a new Mi Box with 6.0.1 with the latest July security patch. Looking for root to use PS3/4 controllers with Sixaxis and for PS4 Remote Play, as I understand the only way to do it right now is with root. Is this possible?

The Mi Box has the bootloader and Kernel compiled with SELinux.
There is no permanent or easy way to root it without a LOT of hassles. Even then it will not root properly.
