mi box or wait for new android tv device?

any suggestions if i should buy the mi box, or wait for the rumored new android tv box? currently have the nexus player and looking to upgrade.

i mostly run kodi

I wouldn't put much stock in rumors andriod tv seems to be forgotten by google just take a look at nvidias site still says assistant coming early 2017

For streaming only (ie Kodi), the Mi Box runs it flawlessIy. There is no real info about new boxes, so you maybe waiting a very long time.

Rumored new box? You know something I don't. I doubt we see anything until next year.

(And I don't count the set-top boxes like the AirTV)

I think you should wait for the new "rumoured" Google Unicorn Android TV box. In fact scratch that - you should tell everyone you have already pre-ordered such a mythical device already. ;-)

In the meantime Mi Box owners are enjoying Kodi Krypton on their devices, some even with HD Audio including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support.
