Does Logitech Harmony remotes respond fast?

by mrnoor

My Nvidia shield controller just died out of the blue and I need to buy a replacement. Logitechs Harmony remotes seem perfect since I can use them to control the TV and lights too. I'm just wondering if they work with WiFi/Bluetooth and respond fast without a delay.

I have the 1st Gen shield but maybe that doesn't matter.

Any other recommendations are welcome as long as I can get one in Sweden

Editor: UPDATE! I SWITCHED THE HDMI CABLES AND HDMI-CECC STSRTED WORKING!!! It's pretty shit but at least I can use the shield.

I'll either buy a rii i7 or i25 to just control the shield and save 100$.. poor student is poor

Something like these:

Home Hub

Id get a hub based remote. More future proof. They have IR, Bluetooth, and IR control.

Jumping on a thread here. Used Harmony for 1st gen Shield - worked like a charm. However, 2nd gen does not work with the remote. Anybody tried that connection?

Yeah, they're great. I swear by them. No delay in commands.

All the info on the remotes is at harmony.com

I'm using the Harmony hub + Remote via Bluetooth with zero delay. It just works. Never disconnects, no line of sight needed, why use anything else?

Have a Harmony touch myself. Works perfectly for one small thing...I can't quite get the double tap for multitasking working reliably..

I use a Rii i8+ keyboard mouse in one. It works decent and gives you keyboard and mouse in one little package. Battery last a long time as well. If you buy one I had to attach the adapter to get Bluetooth to work. Good little addition for only 20 bucks.

The Harmony hub connects to the Shield using bluetooth so it will be just as responsive as the original remote.

I really like my Inteset 422-3 remote with my first gen Shield.
