I know this a very specific idea, but is there any possibility of say a Shield TV sending it's network over to another device through it's ethernet jack? I've had no success so far just plugging things around :)
Thoughts?

Networking isn't quite that easy.
Theoretically it could work but i doubt bridging capabilities is baked into the rom. The effort of making this work is way too big.
I don't think any Play Store app could provide this functionality. At a minimum your Shield would need to be rooted, and potentially a custom kernel with support for IP Forwarding. Additionally, packages like dnsmasq would help.
I don't think you'll be able to get that to work. It'd probably be better to get a separate wifi bridge.
i mean if it was two computers (win or linux) it would be possible and require a crossover cable "different wire arrangements to a regular network cable" but i doubt android supports it
This does exist but its called a wireless bridge
So your Shield would be connected to the network via wifi, and allow another device to plug into its ethernet port to connect to that same network, effectively acting as a wired access point...
Sounds like it could be possible but I don't think it actually is possible.
