How do I load Amazon Prime Video on MiBox?

by Iron_Elohim

The only topic I saw had an expired link and was from over a year ago. I turned in my cable box today, came home and setup my Mibox. I bought Sling TV Blue, setup my Plex server, downloaded Kodi and now was looking for Amazon Prime Video.

Anyone able to help.

General hints for a noob Android TV user would be nice too. (Honestly unsure what to do with Kodi)

Thanks in advance!

From what I've read others posting in the recent past (can't test as I'm on 7.0) if you install the Amazon app store, are running 6.0 & not the beta, it supposedly installs from there just fine.

Read that it's in the Google Play Store as of this week as well.

Best solution is to create a bookmark link in chrome and then use TV App Repo to add the shortcut to menu.

There is an APK floating around that is buggy (and at least was) only 480p max.

If you grab the apk from the nvidia shield itll work, up to 1080p, but youll have to exit the app and reopen between each movie and episode

Check out "Amazon Prime Video" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.avod.thirdpartyclient

I'm assuming this is touch interface and needs a mouse. And maybe forced landscape. Good luck!

First you unplug the MiBox, then set it aside, then plug in an Nvidia shield and use that instead.
