Uninstalled updates and disabled auto update...I don't want to see it until it doesn't suck
One major thing that killed it for me was I couldn't log in with my original YouTube account that I have used forever. I had to use it tied to my Google profile which I never use on YouTube. So no recommendations, all my subscriptions we're gone, etc...
Then there is all the other backwards steps the new app took.
Like most others I have uninstalled updates and turned off auto update.
I wonder if it will now have 1080p 60fps and 4K 30fps support for the Mi Box.
Last version of this new youtube web wrapper "app" wouldn't go to either of those resolution / frame rate combos for me even though my wifi connection and internet speed are fast enough by a mile.
I'm fine with them having the resolution and frame rate set itself automatically, but there's absolutely no reason to remove the ability to also set it manually.
I have a feeling I'll be going back to the old version after all. The ability to disable autoplay probably won't be worth all the ways in which it is inferior.
I finally have 4K on my Sony TV again.
I sideloaded it and Stats for nerds doesn't work.
started rolling out aug 28.
confirmed brand account is available on the mibox version.
I love how much easier it is to like a video.
uninstalled update and turned off auto update after 60 seconds in the interface. In no way is it an improvement to any facet of the Shield TV app
Android TV voice typing no longer works for me
Yes, on my Nvidia Shield Android TV.
Only problem I have with it is that I get constant back and forth between 30fps and 60fps on 60fps videos. Drives me crazy. I don't really mind the new interface.
It's just x86 as for now, so only nexus players can run it if I'm correct.
This won't install on Xiaomi Mi TV. Guess it's not arm64?
I had it a couple days ago
I thought everyone had it? I've had it for about a week or so - it's a great improvement! Way more usable.
It sucks on shield tv, how do I go back to the old one?
Would this work on a fire stick?
Yes, and I hate the new interface.
