Looking for someone who has used covenant/exodus on both mi box and a fire stick and can comment on the performance difference if there is any? (I do not have 4K, I will be using ethernet via usb)
Is keeping kodi/plugins updated harder on the fire stick than on vanilla android tv?
It may run better on the Mi Box (or Fire Box). The stick can be pretty laggy.
I use Kodi on the Mi Box and it works great, I have not used it on the Fire Stick.
To be fair, the fire stick in general is vastly underpowered for a smooth Kodi experience.
Don't get me wrong, I've configured plenty for family that can't get over the rock bottom price tag, but the amount of times I've heard, "it works great, it's just laggy/slow".. I don't recommend them to anyone anymore.
Already said, but using Kodi on Mi Box and Firestick or any other device is the same. Getting them on each of the devices can be different. Amazon Play store vs. USB, file managers, etc.
Kodi on Mi Box all the way! It does run on 2nd gen Firesticks fairly well, but not better than on Mi Box.
Go firestick. Don't pay extra for the no box.
Its literally the same once you are in Kodi. The only difference I can think of is Kodi is native in the Play store while you have to sideload on a Fire stick.
