Considering nougat is only beta, it is just a beta bug at this point. No one can help you. You just have to wait.

Cant you just plug a keyboard in via the usb slot when you want to navigate recovery?

Remote doesn't work in leaked beta recovery, your only option is to plug in a keyboard.

Terminally unpair your remote by removing battery for 10 sec. Replace and try to start recovery

Does your device boot into Nougat?

Are you trying to roll back the Nougat update.......Cant be done
