Why do you want to extract it? Just download it from the Internet and load it on the Mi Box.
Yes use the alternate Aptoide Apps store .apk
Install its .apk using a file manager like X-Plore.
Then install whatever you want using Aptoide.
Thanks everyone, nice effort and I think I'm sorted. Maybe because I live in NZ and Pandora has recently been discontinued here that I can't see it in the play store.
Es file Explorer can backup apk. Try it
Install aptoide on the mibox then install pandora off that. Just checked and it's on there.
Install mouse toggle on Mibox. Install App Backup and Restore on another Android device. Back up the App Backup and Restore itself to get its apk. Transfer the apk from the archive folder to Mibox. App Backup apk is on the Mibox now install on the Mibox. Launch App Backup & restore on Mibox and use mouse toggle to backup the application you want. Screen is 90 degrees. Transfer out the apk in the archive folder of the Backup app from the Mibox to use on your other device.
