Lost root functions on TV Box. How can I restore my Fully Loaded Kodi 17.4 app?

by Pen16x

Hello I have a WifiStreamtv.com OTT TV BOX T95. I once had access to HBO, Starz, Showtime and many other services but something happened and I had to factory reset the device. Now none of those services are available or even available for download from the add-on section. From what I understand, I was using a jailbroken system.

What I dont understand is I cant seem to find a simple fundamental way to jailbreak it. It seems everyone just buys it jailbroken already. How do I restore the jailbroken capabilities?

You don't have a box that runs android tv OS, that's what this sub is. You bought a mobile phone running inside a plastic box that you hook up to your tv.

You have just hit upon reason # 559 that we don't recommend generic Chinese boxes with zero support.

Good luck, you won't get much help here

Have you tried contacting the vendor. They only charge $30 for 1 tech support instance

Wifi Stream TV Single Use Call-In Tech Support. $30 Each Use.

You might be able to find more info online about rooting your Android box if you start using the term "root" instead of Apple's "jailbroken" term.

Have you phoned a friend in India or China to help you out with your tech enquiry with one of those boxes that are NOT EVEN ANDROID TV ?

Alright so it was much more simple than I had previously thought. I don't believe there was any sort of Root functions. It was all through the Kodi app. I just needed to add repositories for the add-ons and a lot of them did not work as they have been taken down.

To be honest it sounds like Kodi got uninstalled/broken and he was using a "build". Do a youtube search. Its all over there.

Okay so I understand a little bit more about the issue. I have tried to install Kodi 17 from a zip from a USB but the install fails for whatever reason and I have tried both arm 32 and arm 64 (my device in 64). I have found the add-on repositories but now I am to a point of installing kodi 17. Once I am there, I can install these repositories.
